More hot hatches!
'Murica needs more hot hatches.
Like seriously.
![]() 08/24/2014 at 23:48 |

This one is the most frustrating.
![]() 08/24/2014 at 23:48 |
|
Because we were so close and then the company that was gonna get it was killed?
![]() 08/24/2014 at 23:49 |

No GM hot hatches?...
Oh. That's right. Nevermind.
![]() 08/24/2014 at 23:49 |

Ze two Opel OPCs.
![]() 08/24/2014 at 23:51 |

Yes, and because it is the best looking hot hatch. AND because they haven't made a Cruze SS.
![]() 08/24/2014 at 23:52 |

It is really fucking attractive.
They just need to shove the 2.0T in the Cruze and we're all good.
![]() 08/25/2014 at 00:03 |

...don't count because 'murica is the only country that exists on earth and we didn't get them.

Seems that you like understeer. You missed the only two recent hot hatches with a real drive train.
WRX STi
M135i
Golf R is based on FWD.
![]() 08/25/2014 at 00:21 |
|
So what you're saying is FWD isn't a real drivetrain and 95% of hot hatches are built wrong.
Okay.
![]() 08/25/2014 at 00:23 |
|
Yes.
![]() 08/25/2014 at 00:29 |

How stereotypical car enthusiast of you.
![]() 08/25/2014 at 00:33 |
|
You forgot the most boring one!!!
![]() 08/25/2014 at 00:37 |
|
MiTo?
I have no fucking clue what that is.
![]() 08/25/2014 at 00:41 |

Alfa Romeo Giulietta Quadrifoglio Verde. Basically Alfa's Golf GTI. Not the best hot hatch you can buy, but quite possibly the most boring prettiest.
![]() 08/25/2014 at 00:43 |
|
I don't even know if I'd give it prettiest.
![]() 08/25/2014 at 00:46 |

It's close enough. I mean, there's the VW Scirocco R, whatever that Vauxhall is, and this.
![]() 08/25/2014 at 01:06 |

you missed the deceased MS3, and the last gen STi hatch.
Also, there's still hope for you! a VAG product was first before a GM product!
Also, do yourself a favor and google Seat Ibiza Cupra/Seat Leon Cupra/VW Polo GTI. You will not be dissapointed

-gives shit for FWD understeer
-posts WRX
![]() 08/25/2014 at 15:56 |

I was gonna say something about that...
![]() 08/25/2014 at 16:02 |

I will never stop fanboying over VXR/OPC editions. (Dat understeer tho)
![]() 08/25/2014 at 16:03 |

I love that.
![]() 08/25/2014 at 16:08 |

I'm pretty sure the same thing happened when they tested the Astra... and the Corsa... and the Corsa Nurburgring... but WHATEVER, get them in a straight line and they dominate
![]() 08/25/2014 at 16:09 |
|
I think the "new" Astra OPC has a fancy LSD to aid that.
The Insignia does too I think.
![]() 08/25/2014 at 16:10 |

Yeah, thankfully they revised them following the facelift. I think the Corsa is still a bit of a rabid puppy but oh well, it's fun! That Vectra VXR is like 'lol nope, seeya'
![]() 08/25/2014 at 16:36 |

The whole 'FWD is Wrong Wheel Drive' trope is so old it's starting to turn to dust
![]() 08/25/2014 at 16:38 |
|
Happy now?
Admittedly stock power is low, but a $200 tune fixes that. Handling is there.
![]() 08/25/2014 at 16:43 |
|
Especially when SO MANY cars are FWD.
![]() 08/25/2014 at 16:46 |
|
Quantity =/= quality.
That being said, there are a crapton of great FWD cars available now.
![]() 08/25/2014 at 18:03 |

Close, but not quite hot enough. Needs a 200+ HP SS version.

Would be nice. Should be getting a refresh soon, who knows what's in store
